Description

This project aims to contribute to the development of a disruptive process which shifts today's linear use of plastics to a resource-efficient circular use. The process, in which used plastics becomes the raw material for new plastics of original quality, can be introduced into existing petrochemical clusters while connecting to the existing downstream equipment turning already made investments into assets for a circular society. A new type of fuel flexible steam cracker will be devoloped that allows mixed plastic streams complemented by biomass as a raw material for the production base chemicals (olefins). The project information has been extracted from Swecris.
